Our team of experts will fix everything your adventurer needs to be warm and safe on the mountain and Rockies owner, Shirley Popenhagen, who has been donning kids in ski gear for over 25 years gives us her top tips for kids snow gear:

• Kids must be warm, comfortable and easy to dress

• Fingers and toes will feel the cold first so merino socks and hand protection are a must

• 75% of our body temperature exits the head so if they’re not in a helmet opt for a woollen hat

• Bright colours are key in helping you find your child on the mountain!

• Look for the “room-to-grow” feature which will maximise your child’s use of ski gear season after season. This ingenious design sees a drop seam in the arms and legs of many of our jackets and pants.  Our staff will show you this awesome feature in store or keep an eye out under product description on the website

• Very waterproof ski pants are key to at least a 5,000 mm rating – kids spend a lot of time sitting in the snow when they are learning to ski

• Consider a spare pair of pants if you have kids still potty training or not good at holding on!

• Dry clothes in the car for the end of the day will be the icing on the cake for an awesome outing
