Top 5 Cafes in Queenstown with kids

Wed, 22 July 2020

We have rounded up our Top 5 Cafes in Queenstown! One to save for later team if you are visiting us these school holidays or you are a local looking for some ideas! We give cafes a ?? if a good fluffy is served alongside a quality caffeine hit for mum and dad. A welcoming vibe is mandatory as well as tolerance for our (occasionally) noisy and messy children!

We love the Boatshed for jaw-dropping views and cosy fire plus the best scones in town in our humble opinion. Check out their new seating area which is in keeping with the very cool heritage of the building.

The cafe at the Kiwipark has a great little menu and there’s even a special reading and bee viewing area, plus bee movie on repeat to keep little ones busy. Tie it in with the 11am conservation show for the ultimate morning out!

The Sherwood has just reopened and we were so happy to head there again last weekend! Their new kids menu is ?? (as is their new dinner menu if Mum and Dad want to go back later on sans kids ?).

Columbus Coffee in Mitre 10 Mega is your absolute go-to on rainy days as it has an indoor playground attached. The background mural taken from the viewpoint of the Remarkables is so cool.

And finally Bwcc had us at free fluffies for kids!

No trip to Queenstown is complete without a visit to us at Rockies at Remarkables Park.  Situated just by the airport we are perfectly placed for a drop in just after you have picked up the rental car. We have all your kids clothing needs covered for newborn up to 16 year olds from snow wear and merino to footwear and toys and accessories.  Here if you forget anything or realise you need a top up once you have arrived.
