Winter Fun - Get Amongst it Queenstown!

Thu, 28 June 2012

Brrrrr…the temperature has well and truly plummeted this week – and with another big drop of snow on the Remarks overnight, this cold blast is just a friendly reminder that winter is ready to roll! Need some advice? Its quiet simple really – wrap up warm. If you and the little ones are feeling chilly, you won’t be able to concentrate on having fun. If you’re hitting the mountain, don’t forget those must haves… protective outer layers, mittens, beanies, snow boots and cozy socks... We love our Icebreaker NZ Merino Socks these days (cold feet are the worst!)  Also we have all the other gear you need to keep you dry and feeling fly too. You can easily punch some colour into the kid’s winter wardrobe – just take one look at our selection of ski jackets and pants, and you’ll be reaching for those eye protective goggles before you leave the store!

While you’re down our way, you may even catch some Winterfest Fever over at Earnslaw Park - you’d be crazy not to check it out.  Or you could grab some of the action on Coronet Peak tomorrow – I hear there’ll be mountain bikers hurtling down the mountain, musical chairs on snow, Night Skiing and heaps of other mountain mayhem.  There are still loads of free events for everyone both up the mountain and downtown. If you haven’t already done so, get your skates on and experience the American Express Ice Rink before it closes on Sunday night too!

Ah….wintertime… So much fun to be had - Let’s get amongst it!
